Digital Museum

material explorations for innovative solutions
interaction between visitor and artpiece

This project is the result of the European Winterschool Program 2021 for Kunsthaus Bern and Zentrum Paul Klee. In collaboration with Morgan Wendlandt, Irène Lam and Anna Kalinina.

What makes an exhibition? Is it the way art is displayed? Is it the ambiance and interior structure? How can museums become more interactive to reach a broader audience?

In our work, we explore an alternative way of exhibiting that promotes a multilinear relationship between visitors and works of art. As the relationship between viewers and art transcends its conventional linearity, the exhibited work develops a context that lies beyond the initial vision of curators and artists. The collective production of new meanings and experiences allow us to rethink and reimagine art without breaching its artistic integrity. The visitor gets the opportunity to connect and engage with the artwork. Firstly, looking at the original exhibited piece and secondly, interacting with a digital version on a screen, by directly drawing onto the art. This engagement will add to the interactive experience and enhance the visit.
